Family's immigration to St. Louis, Missouri, 1842; removal to Nauvoo, Illinois, 1843; conversion to Mormonism; work on the Nauvoo Temple; exodus west; move to Garden Grove, Iowa; arrivavl in Salt Lake Valley, 1850; move to Provo, Utah, 1851; marriage to Mary Strong, 1856.
